Yesterday was the first of May, also known as Beltane, the Celtic festival marking the beginning of summer. I celebrated by visiting my “Saving Graces” embroideries at Delamore, and can only say I was delighted at how they have been hung, including photocopies of my little plant guide booklets for visitors to consult. The originals are behind the pieces, waiting for their new owners to enjoy (fingers crossed!).
The weather was warm, the gardens at Delamore absolutely stunning, and the promise of summer was perfect.
